Richard is an eight-time finalist, three-time recipient, and double Grand Master of the NZIPP – New Zealand Professional Photographer of the Year. He teaches workshops on creative photography & lighting, judges the NZIPP Iris Awards, and is the head judge of The Portrait Masters Awards.

Richard Israel

Born and raised in London, England, and at home in Charlotte, NC, Richard Israel has always been a romantic at heart. He is drawn to sentimental moments, gorgeous atmospheres, and beautiful light. His work is frequently described as fashionable, timeless, & emotive, but to him his photographs are simply reflections of the marriage of life and art that is always present. Platon

Platon has worked with a wide range of international publications, including Rolling Stone, The New York Times Magazine, Vanity Fair, Esquire, GQ, The Sunday Times magazine, and TIME magazine. He’s been awarded 1st prize in the World Press Photo Contest (2007), two ASME Awards (2009 and 2010), and a Peabody Award (2011). He has permanent collections in the New York Historical Society, the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts, the Westlicht Museum for Photography (Vienna, Austria), and the Scotland National Portrait Gallery (Edinburgh, Scotland).

His non-profit foundation The People’s Portfolio aspires to create a visual language that breaks barriers, expands dignity, fights discrimination, and enlists the public to support human rights around the world. He is Creative Director at Large for the Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta, Georgia.

Parker J Pfister

Parker J Pfister is an artist, teacher, and mentor. He creates stories using photography and film as his translators. These translations spark change in our world. He has a vision of a new generation, where this world experiences how others see and not what they have already seen. He envisions a generation that is authentic. With this vision, he guides artists through their own process with the belief that everyone is creative and needs to be heard. He believes that each person has the ability to self-inspire, which breeds this elusive authenticity.

Michele Celentano

If you ask Michele Celentano, the most important part of our journey through life is the people we love. And for Michele, the second most important thing is the photographs that help us remember those we love when they are no longer with us. Photography has always been more than a job or career to her. Photographs of the people we love the most and the times we spend with them will outlast any other material thing we have. It is this emotion and level of importance that is reflected in every photo Michele creates.

Matthew Jordan Smith

Matthew Jordan Smith is an American photographer best known for his celebrity portraits, including Oprah Winfrey, Halle Berry, Martha Stewart, Aretha Franklin, and Samuel L. Jackson. He has shot numerous magazine covers, advertising campaigns, and editorial assignments around the world. He has three published books: Sepia Dreams, Lost and Found, and Future American President: 50 States, 100 Families, Infinite Dreams. He has received the Microsoft Icon of Imaging Award, The George Eastman Power of Image Award, and the Vision Award, and is a Nikon Ambassador.

Lola Melani is known for elegant and intimate portraits, which have been featured worldwide. She specializes in maternity, newborn, & beauty photography. Lara Jade

Lara Jade is a British-born fashion & beauty photographer who currently resides in NY. In the early years of her career, as a teenager, she honed her skills with self-portraiture & conceptual work. Growing up with the rise of social media, Lara could see the bigger picture of this international industry, and after moving to NY, she began teaching others fashion photography techniques.

Lara’s timeless imagery has been published in national and international editions of Vogue & Harper’s Bazaar, and she often travels between NY & London, working with leading advertising clients in the commercial industry.

Joyce Tenneson

Joyce Tenneson has been voted among the ten most influential women in the history of photography by American Photo Magazine readers. Her portraits have appeared as magazine covers for: Time, Life, Newsweek, Premiere, Esquire, and The New York Times magazine. She has authored sixteen books, including the best seller Wise Women, which was featured in a six-part Today Show series. Tenneson has received many awards, including Fine Art Photographer of the Year (2005, Lucie Awards) and the Lifetime Achievement Award (2012, Professional Photographers of America). In addition to her photography exhibits and books, Tenneson has taught master photography classes in the U.S. & Europe for over 40 years.

Joel Grimes

Joel has worked for many of the top advertising agencies & corporations around the globe, including AARP, Abbott Labs, Archer Daniels Midland, Arizona Office of Tourism, and AT&T. In 1990, he produced his first coffee table book, Navajo, Portrait of a Nation, which received a number of photographic & design awards and became an eighteen-month solo exhibit at the Smithsonian American History Museum. Joel is an ambassador for the creative process, teaching workshops & lectures around the world. “I feel that by being an open book with my process, I have an opportunity to inspire others to follow their dreams and passions to create.”

India Earl

India is an award-winning international wedding and couples photographer widely known for the connection, emotion, and landscapes she captures in her images. She is a self-taught photographer who started shooting at 14 years old and now teaches thousands of photographers around the world. She is currently based out of Salt Lake City, Utah, where she lives with her husband, dogs, and chickens. You can usually find her outdoors in the mountains, desert, or her garden.

Elena Shumilova

Elena Shumilova is an internationally published artist who specializes in children and family imagery. Her photos have been featured in dozens of publications around the world, including Digital SLR Magazine, Practical Photography Magazine, Digital Photo Magazine, SLR Lounge, and My Modern Met. Elena’s pictures and videos have been used by Vodafone and Petcurean advertising campaigns, for book covers, and as a selection of postcards in the UK, Germany, and the USA. She lives and works in the countryside in Tver region, Russia, traveling around the world with new projects and workshops.

Dayron Vera

Dayron Vera is a former ballet dancer based in Barcelona, Spain. He became a professional ballet dancer at age 15, reaching the category of Principal Dancer at 23. He started taking pictures of fellow dancers while behind the curtain. As his passion for portrait photography grew, he delved deeper into this craft. Today, he no longer dances ballet, so finds creative expression in the dance between his lens and the subject of his photographs.

Bella Kotak

Bella Kotak is a fine art, fashion, & portrait photographer based in England. Bella’s storytelling pictures lift the veil of the overlooked and remind us that there’s magic in the most ordinary of spaces and beauty in every face. Bella is a teacher and speaker, having hosted workshops and given talks around the world. Her passion for color toning inspired her to co-found the color shop Fine Art Actions. Kotak is an ambassador for SmugMug, Canson Paper, and Vanguard. She has had her work featured in exhibitions in New York, London, and Paris.

Pratik Naik

Pratik Naik is a high-end retoucher, specializing in commercial and editorial work. His proficiency with retouching and Photoshop stems from 10 years of experience in the field. His work can be seen in magazines ranging from Marie Claire, Elle, Zink, and many more. He has had the opportunity to work on such celebrities as Halle Berry, Paris Hilton, Cameron Diaz, Rebecca Hardy, and Elliot Page, to name a few. Pratik is a retouching mentor and instructor, teaching photographers and other retouchers around the world. As a retoucher, he is influenced through his classical training in fine art and his drive for perfection.

Tony Carter

Tony Carter was born and raised around Mt Taranaki in New Zealand. He trained as a professional photographer at Taranaki Polytech, South Devon College in the UK, and with portrait photographer Margaret Bake in New Plymouth, where he now has his own studio.

He has won numerous industry awards and has six times been named New Zealand Professional Photographer of the year (2000, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2010, and 2018). He was also named the first Grand Master of Professional Photography (NZ Institute of Professional Photographers, 2010). He has exhibited in Percy Thomson Gallery, Stratford (2004, 2015), Puke Ariki Museum, New Plymouth (2014), and  the Pingyao International Photography Festival, Shanxi Province, China (2015).

Zack Arias

Zack Arias is an editorial and commercial photographer based in Atlanta, GA.
His specialty niche is press & publicity photography for the television industry.

Zack’s first run at being a freelance photographer left him heavily in debt, requiring him to take a “day job” and sell off his gear to support his family. His second chance in photography involved a D100 with a Visitor 285 flash, ample amounts of faith, and a determination to do things differently.

He now has a strong and thriving business with no debt. His minimalist approach to photography turned into a workshop that he teaches around the world.

Vicki Taufer

Vicki Taufer has been an artist her whole life. She and her husband Jed own V Gallery near Minneapolis, MN, and in Morton, IL. She has a passion for people, and her journey with a camera has taken her around the world. Vicki’s photography has been recognized internationally with numerous awards and has been published in multiple magazines & books.

Besides photography, Vicki has a passion for helping others. She and Jed started The Aasha Fund after living in Nepal while adopting their daughter. The Aasha Fund provides a home and education for young people in Nepal.
