Q: What is your average sale currently?
A: My average sale is $2500.
Q: Making a connection with your subject is one of the most important parts of a great portrait. How do you make lasting connections with your clients?
A: I focus less on posing my clients, or what their hair looks like, or their outfit, and more on bonding with them. I maintain conversation with them while we are shooting, which I think helps them to stop overthinking being in front of the camera and gets more relaxed and genuine images.
Q: For someone starting out on their photography journey, what advice would you have for them?
A: You have to be able to think for yourself and think on your toes. I think a lot of people today rely too much on asking questions in Facebook groups and ‘How do I do ____,’ like they want a formula for everything. But being able to problem solve and creatively come up with solutions has helped me deliver for my clients even when all sorts of things are going wrong.
“You mustn’t be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling.”
Q: What fellow artists in the industry do you gain the most inspiration from?
A: I love Kara Marie for Boudoir and Bonnie Nicoalds and Grace Scuitto for fashion and beauty.
